Mac’s Brewjolais, our latest release
02 April 2009
Our latest release and the big news for Mac’s in April is the release of Mac's Brewjolais 2009. If you’ve been paying close attention over the last three years, you’ll know that Brewjolais is an American-style pale ale made each year using the very first hops of the new season. This year our brewers used the seasons first unkilned cascade hops. Picked, packed and brewed the same day, 12 months will seem like an awfully long time to wait for the next batch.
A new soft drink from Mac’s: How very refreshing
02 February 2009
Mac’s Green Apple sour fruit drink with the old school hit of Hawke’s Bay Granny Smiths is our latest addition to the Mac’s non-alcoholic drink range.
You know that when Mac’s puts it minds to making a bottle of apple, we’re not going to come up with some sickly concoction for the faint of heart. MAC’s GREEN APPLE is made from the juice of real Hawke’s Bay Granny Smiths. It will make your eye squint like a gunfighter and your mouth pucker like a cat’s bum. All natural flavourings and completely free from any added preservatives, as it ought to be.
Give it a try next time you need to quench your thirst. Or for those more adventurous drinkers give a Mac’s Green Apple cocktail a try.

The early bird catches the errrr… Hops? Mac’s Brewjolais Back for its third year
03 April 2008
Following another triumphant appearance at Mac's Brewbars last year, the seasonal madness that is Brewjolais makes its third appearance in 2008. Our Mac’s Brewers have been busy picking the first Riwaka hops of the season and adding them green and fresh to a pale ale to produce a very hoppy, bitter beer – Mac’s Brewjolais. Mac’s Brewjolais celebrates and honours the annual hop harvest and 2008 promises to be a vintage year for fresh hops and fresh thinking. Mac’s Brewjolais is fermented with an American ale yeast to develop this fruit character further, resulting in a satisfying ale that is full in flavour and bitterness. Ensure you make the most of the limited release Mac's Brewjolais, because when it runs out, 12 months will seem like an awfully long time to wait for the next batch.
